Job Description

We're looking for a seasoned Tekla Detailer/Checker to join a team near Clear Lake that cares about accurate, buildable drawings. You'll model, detail, and check structural and miscellaneous steel shop and erection drawings for commercial and industrial projects, and your drawings feed the shop floor directly.

Responsibilities

• Mentor newer detailers and uphold consistent drawing quality
• Check assembly, shop, and erection drawings for accuracy and constructability
• Produce structural and miscellaneous steel models and details in Tekla Structures
• Ensure drawings comply with AISC standards and project specs
• Manage RFIs and revisions alongside project managers, engineers, and fabricators

Qualifications

• Ability to handle multiple projects with strong attention to detail
• 3+ years of Tekla Structures experience detailing structural steel
• Understanding of AISC standards, connections, and fabrication practices
• Checking experience strongly preferred

Compensation & benefits

• $100K–$130K based on experience
