Civil Litigation Position Overview

A growing law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join its team. The firm is open to attorneys with experience in any area of civil litigation, including but not limited to insurance, construction, and commercial litigation. The attorney will handle matters through various stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, hearings, and settlement negotiations.

This is a fully remote opportunity for an attorney who lives in California and is admitted to the California Bar.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
• Conduct and defend depositions, hearings, and other court proceedings
• Handle written discovery and participate in the discovery process
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties
• Develop case strategy and work independently while collaborating with the legal team

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil litigation experience
• Experience in insurance defense, construction, commercial litigation, or related civil litigation preferred
• Active California Bar license
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage cases independently in a remote work environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• ABA law school preferred
