Job Description

A well-established Boulder-based CPA firm providing tax planning and preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, and advisory services to small businesses and individuals. The firm is known for its supportive, flexible culture and its commitment to excellence, integrity, and exceptional client service. As part of long-term succession planning, the firm is seeking an experienced CPA interested in pursuing shareholder opportunities within the next several years.

Qualifications

  •   Active CPA license required
  •   Advanced degree preferred (Master’s in Tax ideal)
  •   Minimum of 10 years of public accounting experience
  •   Demonstrated expertise in preparing and reviewing complex income tax returns for individuals, fiduciaries, nonprofits, and small businesses
  •   Strong general tax knowledge; specialization welcomed but not required
  •   Proven ability to acquire, develop, and retain clients through proactive communication and high-quality service
  •   Leadership experience with the ability to guide staff and contribute to firm strategy and goal-setting
  •   High integrity, accuracy, motivation, and professional aptitude

Key Responsibilities

  •   Timely and accurate preparation and review of complex tax returns
  •   Oversight of client compliance, tax planning, and consulting engagements
  •   Research and interpretation of complex tax issues to support planning and compliance
  •   Supervision, mentorship, and development of professional staff
  •   Participation in firm growth initiatives, including internal culture-building and external business development
