Litigation Attorney – Construction & General Liability
Location: Jacksonville, FL

A well-respected Jacksonville-based firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. Known for its strong trial reputation, collaborative environment, and consistent client results, the firm focuses heavily on construction defect and general liability matters. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator looking to take on a lead role in a busy and sophisticated practice.

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have several years of litigation experience with the ability to first-chair trials, handle depositions and mediations independently, and contribute meaningfully to complex case strategy. Plaintiff-side experience is strongly preferred, and familiarity with construction defect litigation is a significant plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of a litigation caseload, including first-chair responsibilities for trials and mediations

  • Conduct and defend depositions

  • Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, and engage in case strategy and trial prep

  • Collaborate with partners and support staff to drive results

  • Maintain strong client communication and uphold litigation timelines

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in Florida

  • Strong litigation background with demonstrated first-chair trial experience

  • Experience with construction litigation or construction defect cases preferred

  • Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment

  • No set billable requirement, though 1,800+ hours annually is encouraged
