Tax Manager

Location: Dallas, TX

Overview

A growing, large regional CPA firm known for its collaborative, family-like culture is seeking a Tax Manager in Dallas. Working with partners and managers, you will lead, mentor and coach team members across tax compliance and consulting engagements that help clients minimize tax liabilities, while managing engagements and client communications. The role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor preparation and review of complex S corporation, C corporation, partnership, multistate and individual returns, including projections and estimates
• Review and advise on technical research memoranda and book-to-tax differences
• Lead client meetings, develop deep knowledge of client businesses and recommend additional services
• Communicate with the IRS and state authorities as needed
• Delegate, monitor and coach associates and conduct training
• Manage projects, schedules and budgets, including billing and fee quotes for new engagements
• Network to support business development

Qualifications

• CPA required
• 5+ years of tax experience
• Advanced knowledge of federal income tax law for individuals and businesses
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management, project management and delegation skills
