Investment Funds & Advisers Associate (2–4 Years): San Francisco, CA

A respected San Francisco business law firm is looking to add an attorney with substantive corporate securities experience to its nationally prominent investment funds practice. The group advises hundreds of private funds and investment advisers. Associates work directly with partners and clients from day one, on matters ranging from marquee AI investments to cutting-edge biotech funds. This is a partnership-track role, and prior fund experience is not required.

What they're looking for:

• Approximately 2–4 years of transactional and corporate securities experience (significant securities work required)
• Genuine interest in private investment funds; private fund or Investment Advisers Act experience is a plus but not a prerequisite
• J.D. from a Top 50 law school; law school transcripts required
• Strong drafting and analytical skills
• California bar admission, or eligibility to obtain it

Logistics:

• Base salary: $230,000–$280,000, depending on experience
• Partnership track
• Clients include hedge, venture, private equity, real estate, and credit funds, plus investment advisers
