Commercial Superintendent
An Iowa general contractor is seeking a mid-level Superintendent to help lead commercial construction projects in the Des Moines/Ames area. This role is suited to a field leader who can coordinate trades, maintain jobsite standards, and keep work progressing safely and efficiently.
What you’ll do
Coordinate daily field operations, subcontractors, and site logistics
Monitor project schedule, workmanship, and jobsite safety
Review plans and specifications and help resolve field issues
Coordinate inspections, materials, and work sequencing
Communicate progress and field needs with the project team
Support project documentation and closeout
What we’re looking for
Commercial construction field experience
Experience coordinating subcontractors and daily site activities
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
A safety-minded approach and interest in continued growth as a Superintendent
