A well-established and growing law firm in the Kansas City area is seeking a Construction Litigation Associate with 2+ years of litigation experience to join its collaborative and highly respected team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build a long-term career handling sophisticated construction-related disputes while working alongside experienced litigators in a supportive environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Represent owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, architects, and engineers in a variety of construction-related disputes.
  • Manage cases through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.
  • Draft and argue motions, prepare legal memoranda, and conduct legal research.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
  • Collaborate with partners and clients to develop litigation strategy and deliver practical legal solutions.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active Missouri license (Kansas license or ability to obtain is a plus).
  • 2+ years of litigation experience, with construction litigation experience preferred.
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Experience managing case files and communicating directly with clients.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
