Associate Attorney – Construction Personal Injury (New York)
We are seeking a talented Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join our team in New York. This role is ideal for an attorney who is passionate about litigation, thrives in a collaborative environment, and has specific expertise in construction-related personal injury claims.
Key Responsibilities
• Handle construction accident and personal injury claims from inception through resolution
• Apply strong knowledge of New York Labor Law sections 240(1), 241(6), and 200
• Manage contractual indemnification claims, insurance issues, and contractual defense tenders
• Draft and argue motions, conduct depositions, and appear in court as needed
• Review medical records, identify critical treatment details, and assess damages to support case strategy
• Work closely with partners and senior attorneys on high-exposure matters
Qualifications
• JD degree and admission to the New York Bar (in good standing)
• Minimum 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in construction accident or personal injury defense
• Strong understanding of New York Labor Law and related liability issues
• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Experience reviewing medical records and evaluating damages is a plus
