Die Maker – 1st Shift | Precision Stamping Manufacturer | Mishawaka, IN
A fast-growing precision metalworking company is looking for a skilled Die Maker to join its toolroom team on 1st shift. Known for its long-standing reputation in progressive die stamping and value-added machining, this manufacturer produces tight-tolerance components for aerospace, defense, medical, and other demanding markets.

What You’ll Do:
Build, repair, and maintain progressive and single-hit stamping dies
Troubleshoot production dies and make necessary adjustments to ensure consistent part quality
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files
Operate surface grinders, mills, lathes, and other toolroom equipment with high precision
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and production teams to meet customer specs
Perform die setup and validation for initial production runs
Conduct preventative maintenance on dies to minimize downtime
Maintain detailed documentation of die modifications and repair history
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Die Maker in metal stamping (progressive die experience required)
Proficient in tool and die fitting, machining, and assembly
Strong knowledge of progressive die design, function, and troubleshooting (wear, alignment, material feed)
Familiarity with tool steels and heat-treating processes
Experience in high-volume, tight-tolerance production preferred
Understanding of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards a plus
Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification preferred
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without restrictions
