Account Executive – Waste & Recycling Services

Location: Major Metro Areas Throughout the United States
Compensation: Base Salary + Uncapped Commission

About the Opportunity

Our client is a growing waste and recycling services provider seeking high-performing Account Executives across major metropolitan markets throughout the United States. This is an opportunity for driven sales professionals who thrive on prospecting, relationship building, and winning new business.

Successful Account Executives consistently secure new commercial accounts with average new account activations ranging from $3,000–$5,000, while building a strong book of recurring business and generating significant commission income.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new commercial business opportunities within an assigned territory.

  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and field sales activities.

  • Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and solution-based sales presentations.

  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline from prospecting through contract execution.

  • Develop customized waste and recycling solutions for commercial and industrial customers.

  • Negotiate pricing, service agreements, and contract terms.

  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure successful onboarding and customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain CRM activity and sales forecasting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of waste, recycling, environmental services, or related industry sales experience required.

  • Proven track record of prospecting, developing, and closing new commercial business.

  • Experience selling waste collection, recycling, roll-off, compactor, environmental, or industrial service solutions preferred.

  • Strong hunter mentality with the ability to generate business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and territory development.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Self-motivated with a competitive drive and desire to exceed goals.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales activity management.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
