Job Description

GPAC is partnering with an "equity and excellence" focused K-8th school in north Minneapolis to identify their next Special Education (SPED) Teacher.

**There are 2 positions available. One position serves students in the middle school (6-8) grade levels with SLP needs and the other works with 2nd & 3rd grade students with ASD/DCD needs.**  

This school is seeking candidates for these on-site, full time positions who are

Position Summary 

The SPED Teacher will provide a learning experience that is culturally relevant, challenging and fun. Candidates should be driven to prepare children for the future by helping them build confidence and a strong sense of self-worth.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • LICENSURE: Current Minnesota teaching license in content area / grade levels (preferred)

  • Experience teaching in an urban public school or charter school setting
  • At least two years of experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom
  • Commitment to professional growth and personal development
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with high expectations
