Civil Litigation / Insurance Defense Attorney (1+ Years Experience)

Location: Grand Rapids, MI Practice Area: Civil Litigation / Insurance Defense

A respected civil litigation and insurance defense firm in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1+ year of experience to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build strong litigation skills while working alongside experienced trial attorneys in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of civil litigation and insurance defense matters

• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery

• Conduct depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and trials

• Analyze case strategy and provide legal recommendations

• Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel

• Manage files efficiently while meeting deadlines and billing requirements

Qualifications

• 1+ year of civil litigation and/or insurance defense experience

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan

• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills

• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment

• Prior experience with discovery, motion practice, and depositions preferred
