Associate Attorney – Medical Malpractice / Insurance Defense
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Salary: $115,000 - &125,000 DOE

A respected mid-sized law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with medical malpractice defense and/or general insurance defense experience to join its growing litigation team. This firm is known for its strong trial focus, collaborative culture, and clear partnership track.

Position Overview: This role offers hands-on litigation experience with meaningful courtroom exposure. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, though more experienced attorneys are encouraged to apply. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to sharpen their trial skills and grow within a firm that values long-term career development.

Practice Focus:

  • Medical malpractice defense

  • General insurance defense

  • Trial preparation and courtroom advocacy

  • Case strategy development and client advisement

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload from inception through resolution

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery

  • Conduct depositions and attend court appearances

  • Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial proceedings

  • Collaborate with partners on litigation strategy

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of litigation experience (medical malpractice and/or insurance defense preferred)

  • Licensed and in good standing in Ohio

  • Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills

  • Trial experience or strong interest in trial work

Billable Requirement:

  • 1,800 billable hours annually
