Position Overview
A well-established law firm in Irvine is seeking a Real Estate Transactional Associate Attorney to join its growing real estate practice. This position offers the opportunity to represent developers, investors, landlords, tenants, lenders, and business owners in a broad range of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong drafting and negotiation skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage transactions from inception through closing.
Graduation from an ABA-accredited law school is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, licenses, and other real estate-related agreements.
- Handle commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and development transactions.
- Conduct due diligence, including review of title reports, surveys, zoning matters, and other property-related issues.
- Assist clients with entity formation and transaction structuring related to real estate investments.
- Coordinate closings and prepare closing documents.
- Advise clients on real estate risks, contractual obligations, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups on complex transactions.
- Maintain direct client contact while managing multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school (required).
- Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing.
- 2+ years of real estate transactional experience preferred.
- Experience handling commercial real estate transactions from drafting through closing.
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Experience reviewing title and survey matters is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines while providing exceptional client service.
