We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Vernon County, WI. Supporting an industry-leading, farmer-owned organic dairy processor, this is a hands-on, multi-craft maintenance position operating within a highly automated, modern facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance on automated production line machinery, robotics, packaging lines, conveyors, pumps, separators, and pasteurization systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and perform minor programming or adjustments on PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and sanitary process controls.
  • Read and interpret mechanical schematics, electrical single-line drawings, and P&IDs.
  • Assist with utility maintenance, including boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, and wastewater management.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety, preventive maintenance, and plant safety protocols.

Candidate Requirements

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food/beverage/dairy preferred).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with PLCs, VFDs, and automated packaging equipment.
  • Experience maintaining pumps, conveyors, separators, and pasteurizers.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation, calibration, and sanitary process systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings.
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and wastewater systems a plus.
  • Safety-conscious mindset with the ability to work independently in an automated plant environment.
