Job Summary

Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the construction of buildings and/or repairs.  Must be flexible and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.  They should be decisive and work well under pressure, particularly when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise the labor crew
  • Coordinate the crew and the equipment involved in the construction process
  • Oversee the use of materials, tools and equipment; worker productivity and safety; and the quality of construction
  • Regular and predictable attendance required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • Comply with policies and procedures

Education and/or Experience

Ÿ  Must possess building trade experience

Ÿ  Knowledge of building materials and building process

Ÿ  Requires strong math aptitude

Ÿ  Any combination of job-related experience and/or training, which would produce the required knowledge, skills and abilities

Ÿ  On-the-job training

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills

Ÿ  Ability to perform tasks accurately, effectively and in a timely manner

Ÿ  Must be able to multitask, possess good communications skills (written & verbal)

Ÿ  Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to work under time constraints

Ÿ  Ability to interface with customers, Sub-contract crews and company personnel

Ÿ  Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions accurately

Ÿ  Ability to safely perform major job responsibilities with reasonable accommodations

Weight & Lift Requirements

Ÿ  Must be able to lift at least 80lbs

Ÿ  Lifting anything >80lbs requires additional personnel and utilizing a dolly or forklift if possible.
