JOB DESCRIPTION
A growing and well-established structural steel fabricator and erector is seeking an experienced Industrial Structural Steel Project Manager to lead industrial construction projects from award through closeout.
This role will oversee structural steel fabrication and erection scopes for industrial facilities including manufacturing plants, processing facilities, heavy industrial expansions, energy projects, and complex structural builds.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage industrial structural steel projects from contract award through final completion
• Coordinate detailing, engineering, fabrication, procurement, delivery, and field erection activities
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and production timelines
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, EPCs, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and internal operations teams
• Review contracts, specifications, IFC drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Monitor project costs, labor productivity, procurement status, and material tracking
• Coordinate with shop leadership and field superintendents to ensure successful execution
• Lead project meetings and proactively manage risks, schedule impacts, and client expectations
• Negotiate and manage change orders and scope modifications
• Track project progress and provide regular reporting to leadership and customers
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years of Project Management experience within structural steel fabrication and/or erection
• Experience managing industrial structural steel projects preferred (manufacturing, processing, industrial facilities, heavy commercial, energy, or related markets)
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication workflows and field erection sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost controls
• Knowledge of procurement, subcontract management, and change order administration
• Experience with project management software, scheduling platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of AISC standards and industry best practices
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously
