Job Description

An industry leading Ag Organization in Iowa is seeking an experienced Lead Operations Professional to oversee day-to-day functions, guide high-performing teams, and champion a culture of collaboration, growth, and community engagement. In this role, you’ll take the lead on safety and compliance, customer service and satisfaction, operational efficiency and planning, financial and asset management, talent development and team building, as well as driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Operations Leader Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and support Maintenance, Safety, Inventory, and General Operations teams

  • Manage P&L performance and identify areas for profitability improvement

  • Oversee invoice coding and implement cost-effective procedures

  • Promote a growth-driven, customer-focused culture across the team

  • Recruit, hire, and develop talent; conduct interviews and onboarding

  • Empower employees by encouraging feedback, collaboration, and innovation

  • Build and maintain strong community relationships to support hiring and local engagement

  • Represent the organization in community initiatives and outreach

  • Support key farmer and customer meetings as needed

  • Resolve scheduling and operational challenges with a proactive approach

  • Drive continuous improvement across people, processes, and infrastructure

  • Optimize utilization of personnel, inventory, and physical assets

 

Operations Leader Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in ag operations or related field

  • 1–3 years of leadership experience

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to obtain necessary licenses (e.g., USDA, CDL, Handler’s License, DOT physical)

  • Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
