An industry-leading ag organization in South Dakota is seeking a driven Sales Agronomist to join their team. This is your chance to work directly with growers, offering tailored crop input solutions—including seed, fertilizer, chemicals, and seed treatments—that drive results in the field by providing research-based recommendations, delivering top-tier customer service, and helping producers make informed, profitable decisions.B

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored seed, fertilizer, and chemical recommendations to growers.
  • Promote agronomy solutions and achieve annual sales goals.
  • Maintain detailed records of fields, customers, and crop data.
  • Scout fields to collect soil, seed, and plant samples for analysis.
  • Collaborate with agronomists to stay updated on industry advancements and best practices.
  • Create and deliver educational presentations to promote agronomy techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and company policies while fostering a positive work environment.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of agronomy experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of agronomy products and services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and make effective decisions

Compensation & benefits: 

  • Base salary of $70,000 - $100,000 with bonus potential.
