Miscellaneous Metals Fabrication Project Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee miscellaneous metals fabrication and installation projects from contract award through completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fabricated metals, project coordination, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining schedules, budgets, and client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage miscellaneous metals projects from start to finish
- Review contracts, plans, specifications, and project requirements
- Coordinate with clients, general contractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams
- Manage project schedules, budgets, material procurement, and fabrication timelines
- Coordinate shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and approvals
- Work closely with fabrication and field installation teams
- Track project costs, change orders, and overall profitability
- Resolve project issues and maintain strong customer relationships
- Conduct project turnover meetings and ensure projects are completed on schedule
- Monitor quality and ensure work meets project specifications
Qualifications
- 3+ years of project management experience in miscellaneous metals, structural steel, architectural metals, or related fabrication
- Strong understanding of fabrication and installation processes
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and change orders
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with construction/project management software preferred
