Fire Sprinkler Apprentice

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to continue building a career in the fire protection industry. Working alongside experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitters and Service Technicians, you will gain hands-on experience while assisting with the installation, inspection, service, and repair of commercial fire sprinkler systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of commercial fire sprinkler systems.
• Support experienced technicians and fitters with inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications under supervision.
• Measure, cut, thread, and assemble sprinkler piping.
• Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Complete daily work reports and other required documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Some hands-on experience or exposure to commercial fire sprinkler systems is required.
• Previous experience in construction, plumbing, pipefitting, HVAC, or another mechanical trade is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
• Trade school or vocational training
• Fire sprinkler apprentice experience
• Interest in obtaining NICET certification and advancing within the fire protection industry
