About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Attorney to join our growing litigation team, focusing on commercial truck wreck cases. This role is ideal for a trial-ready attorney who thrives in high-stakes litigation and is passionate about advocating for seriously injured clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of complex catastrophic injury and trucking accident cases from intake through resolution
- Conduct case investigations, develop liability theories, and assess damages
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery; take and defend depositions
- Work closely with medical experts, accident reconstructionists, and other specialists
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediations
- Prepare for and lead jury trials when necessary
- Collaborate with legal staff to ensure efficient case progression and client communication
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Texas
- Minimum of 5+ years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience
- Open to attorneys from the defense side
- Must have hands on trucking litigation experience
- Proven track record of case results, including settlements and/or verdicts
- Strong courtroom presence and trial preparation skills
- Trial experience highly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
