We are seeking an Oil & Gas Title Opinion Attorney to join our Houston team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience handling oil and gas title matters and be comfortable working across any U.S. producing basin.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review oil & gas title opinions, including original, supplemental, acquisition, and division order opinions.
Examine mineral, leasehold, and surface title.
Identify title defects and recommend curative requirements.
Research and interpret oil & gas and mineral law.
Support acquisitions, divestitures, and other energy transactions.
Work closely with landmen, attorneys, and clients.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school.
2+ years of oil & gas title experience.
Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction.
Strong knowledge of mineral title and oil & gas law.
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
Experience in the Permian, Delaware, Midland, Eagle Ford, Haynesville, Barnett, Bakken, Anadarko, DJ, or other U.S. basins is welcome.
