Overview
GPAC is working with a well-established law firm in Washington that is looking to add a General Liability Associate Attorney to its litigation team. This position offers hands-on responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work on meaningful litigation matters without excessive bureaucracy.

What You’ll Do
Handle a variety of general liability matters, including personal injury, premises liability, and property damage claims
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery, and manage written discovery responses
Take and defend depositions and appear at hearings and other pretrial proceedings
Manage cases independently from assignment through resolution
Evaluate exposure and advise clients on strategy, risk, and settlement options
Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
Work closely with partners and litigation support staff to move cases efficiently
What the Firm Is Looking For
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active admission to the Washington State Bar Association
At least 5+ years of experience in general liability or insurance defense litigation
Strong legal writing and analytical skills
Comfort managing a caseload with minimal oversight
Deposition and court experience preferred, but not required
Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented approach to practice
