About the Principal Technical Advisor role
We are seeking an experienced technical professional to join our international team as a Principal Technical Advisor – Operator Engagement. This high-level role requires strong oil & gas operator expertise to provide technical guidance on protective coating solutions for well tubing, compressor pipes, and pipelines. This is not a sales role—it is a technical advisory position working directly with operator engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical contact for operator engineering and production teams.
Provide expertise on protective coatings for pipelines, well tubing, and compressor pipes.
Participate in technical reviews, qualification testing, and performance assessments.
Translate operator needs into engineering solutions.
Support design, integration, and troubleshooting of coating applications throughout the asset lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with operator standards, industry codes, and regulations.
Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to improve coating technologies.
Mentor internal staff on operator workflows, technical requirements, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of engineering or production experience in an oil & gas operator environment.
Strong knowledge of pipelines, well tubing, compressor systems, and protective coatings.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Petroleum, or related).
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree a plus.
Experience with process plant operations, asset integrity, or reliability engineering.
Proven ability to lead technical reviews, troubleshooting, and operator-facing discussions.
