Responsibilities
As a Civil Litigation Defense Attorney, you will manage a diverse litigation docket and handle matters from inception through resolution. Responsibilities include:
Managing a caseload of approximately 30–40 active matters
Litigating cases through discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial
Conducting legal research and providing strategic recommendations to clients
Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses
Taking and defending depositions, preparing witnesses, and working with experts
Collaborating with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members
Qualifications
The ideal Civil Litigation Defense Attorney will possess:
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active law license in good standing
3+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience
Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
Ability to independently manage a busy docket while contributing to a team environment
