Job Description: Working with a client that is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee large-scale infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in highway construction, earth moving, building pads, utilities, and site preparation. This role requires someone with a deep understanding of construction plans and proven leadership on heavy civil projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise day-to-day operations on heavy civil construction sites
Oversee highway, dirt work, building pads, earth moving, and utility installation
Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
Coordinate subcontractors, labor, and equipment effectively
Read, interpret, and apply construction plans and specifications
Maintain communication with project stakeholders and management
Qualifications:
5-10+ years of experience as a Lead Superintendent in heavy civil construction
Proven experience with highway, earth moving, building pads, utilities, and dirt work
Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Commitment to safety and quality standards
