Job Title: Process Engineer – Continuous Improvement & Manufacturing Operations
Location: Grand Rapids, MI (On-Site)
Overview:
A respected, engineering-driven manufacturer in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a Process Engineer to support production, lead improvements, and drive operational excellence. Ideal for someone early in their career who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing setting.
You’ll work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to identify inefficiencies, optimize workflows, and scale operations for growth. If you're detail-oriented, love problem-solving, and want to make a real impact—this is your lane.
What You’ll Do:
Improve manufacturing processes for safety, quality, and efficiency
Lead lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects
Collaborate across engineering, operations, and quality
Support equipment upgrades, tooling changes, and layout improvements
Analyze production data and quality metrics
Create SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation
Help scale production for new products and process changes
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or similar
2+ years in a hands-on manufacturing or production role
Familiarity with lean, process optimization, or Six Sigma tools
Experience with production equipment, layouts, and tooling
Strong data analysis skills (Excel, Minitab, etc.)
Bonus: exposure to ISO, ERP systems, or quality control
