Litigation Attorney – Asbestos / Toxic Tort

Chicago based litigation firm is seeking a talented Litigation Attorney (2–6 years of experience) to join its office, focusing on asbestos and toxic tort defense matters.

This role offers hands-on responsibility in complex, high-stakes litigation within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment that emphasizes mentorship, professional development, and long-term career advancement.

About the Role

  • Litigate asbestos and toxic tort matters from inception through resolution
  • Manage active caseload with increasing responsibility
  • Draft and argue substantive motions
  • Conduct and respond to written discovery
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Appear in court for hearings and case management conferences
  • Opportunity for trial and appellate involvement

Qualifications

  • 2–6 years of licensed litigation experience
  • Active Illinois license (required)
  • Strong case management and organizational skills
  • Excellent legal research and writing abilities
  • Courtroom experience preferred
  • Professional demeanor and strong client communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
