Employment Litigation Attorney – San Diego, CA

Renowned boutique litigation firm in downtown San Diego is seeking an attorney with 3–10 years of plaintiff-side employment law experience, particularly in wage and hour class actions. This role offers the opportunity to handle complex and high-impact cases while also gaining exposure to business litigation matters. The firm provides a collegial, hands-on environment where attorneys work directly with partners on significant cases and enjoy a balance of autonomy, mentorship, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Litigate wage and hour class action and PAGA cases from intake through resolution
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
  • Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
  • Collaborate with partners and team members on strategy and case development
  • Assist in select business litigation matters as needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in employment litigation, with an emphasis on wage and hour class actions
  • Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
  • Admitted and in good standing with the California State Bar
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in gaining cross-disciplinary experience in employment and business litigation
