Our confidential client—a well-established and growing food manufacturing company based in Wisconsin—is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead and coordinate daily plant operations. Essential Functions, Responsibilities, or Job Duties:
• Oversee and supervise all production processes to ensure products meet quality and specification standards
• Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all departmental records, maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations
• Manage production costs to consistently meet or exceed budgetary targets
• Coordinate cross-departmental activities to ensure safe and efficient delivery, handling, and storage of materials
• Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and provide training to employees to promote safe and efficient operations
• Develop and execute daily production plans, ensuring optimal utilization of materials and resources
• Make informed decisions on product quality, employee concerns, and equipment malfunctions, and promptly escalate issues to management
• Ensure a safe working environment for all employees by adhering to safety protocols and regulations
• Assist in developing plant budgets and daily production plans
• Purchase production supplies
• Oversee and direct sanitation procedures
• Conduct performance evaluations on assigned employees
• Assist other management positions such as Warehouse Manager or Q.C. Manager
• Coordinate activities between departments to ensure proper receipt and storage of supplies
• Other duties as assigned or required by Management
Qualifications and Experience:
• Familiarity with raw product preparation, packaging, thermal processes, and other essential procedures (e.g., FDA, USDA, OSHA, AIB, and GMP)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
• Ability to make quick, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized and adaptable to changing needs and priorities
• College degree and/or 2 to 5 years of relevant experience or training in food manufacturing or a related field
• Willingness to obtain certifications in Better Process Control School, Thermal Processing, Container Closure School, and other necessary industry training
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a supervisor or Leadsperson. Food Manufacturing experience preferred
