We are actively seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of construction projects. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in fire alarm and life safety systems who can successfully lead multiple projects from preconstruction through close-out. The right candidate will play a critical role in ensuring project success through leadership, coordination, and technical expertise. Responsibilities
- Lead all activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, scheduling, and project close-out
- Prepare and submit monthly project status reports outlining progress, risks, and critical issues
- Develop and manage project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
- Secure required permits and verify subcontractor insurance compliance
- Provide overall administrative and technical leadership for assigned projects
- Maintain project documentation and oversee correspondence tracking
Qualifications
- 8+ years of construction experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience managing projects from start to finish successfully
- Strong background in electrical and fire alarm commercial construction
- Knowledge of industry, state, and local codes related to fire alarm and life safety systems
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, and architectural drawings
- Strong ability to build and negotiate relationships with owners and subcontractors
- Minimum 4 years of experience leading, mentoring, and evaluating teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in engineering, business, or a related field
- Experience working for an electrical contractor on large-scale construction projects
- Industry certifications related to fire alarm or life safety systems
- Experience with infrastructure or complex project environments
- Familiarity with alternative delivery methods and sustainability practices
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $100K – $130K (depending on experience)
