Job Title: Litigation Attorney

About the Firm
We are working directly with the leadership of a well-established, multi-office California law firm that is known for handling complex civil litigation matters. The firm has built a strong reputation representing clients in insurance-related disputes and offers a collaborative environment where attorneys are given meaningful responsibility and hands-on experience.

The Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse insurance defense docket, including medical malpractice, premises liability, and general liability matters. The firm is open to attorneys from a variety of litigation backgrounds, including those with primarily pre-litigation experience who are looking to expand into more advanced litigation work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
• Handle pleadings, discovery, and motion practice
• Participate in depositions, mediations, and court appearances
• Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy and client communication
• Gain increased responsibility over time, including litigation and trial exposure

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active California bar license
• Experience in insurance defense or related civil litigation
• Open to attorneys with pre-litigation experience seeking to grow into litigation
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage cases and deadlines effectively
