Accounting Specialist – Residential Construction

I'm partnering with a well-established residential construction company to find an experienced Accounting Specialist to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an accounting background who has worked in the construction industry and is looking to join a stable, growing company with a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Track job costs and assist with project budgeting
• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
• Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with month-end close
• Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors on billing and job costing
• Assist with lien waivers, contracts, and other construction-related documentation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Construction industry experience required
• Strong QuickBooks experience (Desktop or Online)
• Experience with payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office

Preferred Experience

• Residential new construction or remodeling
• Working with subcontractors, vendors, and project managers
• Familiarity with construction contracts and documentation
