Project Manager – Sitework, Excavation & Utilities
Our client is a well-established construction contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in sitework, excavation, and underground utilities. This role will oversee projects from preconstruction through completion and is ideal for someone who understands heavy civil scopes and thrives in fast-paced field-driven environments.
Position Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering sitework and utility projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. This individual will work closely with field leadership, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful execution.
Key Responsibilities
Manage sitework, excavation, and utility projects from start to finish
Oversee budgets, schedules, contracts, and change orders
Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, inspectors, and engineers
Manage procurement, buyout, and subcontractor relationships
Ensure compliance with safety standards, specifications, and local regulations
Track project progress and report status to leadership and clients
Qualifications
5+ years of project management experience in sitework, excavation, or utilities
Strong understanding of earthwork, grading, storm, sewer, and water systems
Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors
Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
Construction management software experience preferred
