We’re looking for a Sheet Metal Estimator to join our team in-office. Whether you're just starting your estimating career or you're a seasoned pro, if you know your way around AutoBid and love the rhythm of takeoffs and deadlines, we want to talk to you.
What You’ll Do
Analyze architectural and mechanical plans/specs for sheet metal systems
Perform material and labor takeoffs using AutoBid software
Prepare competitive and accurate bids for commercial and industrial projects
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless handoffs
Attend pre-bid meetings and vendor walkthroughs as needed
Maintain organized records of estimates and pricing data
Track and analyze bid outcomes to improve future accuracy and strategy
What You Bring to the Table
AutoBid proficiency is required (AutoBid Mechanical or similar)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
Strong attention to detail and deadlines
Excellent math and communication skills
Comfort in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
Willingness to work on-site in our office (this is not a remote or hybrid position)
Nice to Haves
1+ years of experience estimating HVAC or sheet metal (for entry-level applicants, internship or apprentice-level experience counts)
5+ years for senior-level applicants, especially if you’ve bid $1M+ projects
Field experience in sheet metal or HVAC systems
Familiarity with Bluebeam, Trimble, or Revit a plus
