Position: Commercial Lines Account Manager – Middle Market

What You’ll Do:
- Account Management: Manage a book of middle market commercial lines accounts, overseeing day-to-day servicing, renewals, and retention while minimizing E&O exposure.
- Client Communication & Relationship Building: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive advice on coverage, addressing complex inquiries, and building long-term partnerships to support growth and satisfaction.
- Policy & Coverage Administration: Process renewals, endorsements, certificates, binders, audits, and policy changes with accuracy; prepare and review applications, quotes, proposals, and loss runs.
- Risk Assessment & Exposure Analysis: Conduct thorough exposure reviews and coverage gap analyses; recommend enhancements, alternative programs, or remarketing strategies to optimize protection and cost.
- Marketing & Placement Support: Collaborate with producers and underwriters to market new and renewal business, obtain competitive quotes, negotiate terms, and place coverage effectively.
- Claims & Additional Support: Assist clients with claims reporting/follow-up, coordinate with carriers, and handle related inquiries to ensure smooth resolution.
- Team Collaboration: Partner closely with producers, underwriters, and internal teams to deliver holistic solutions and contribute to departmental goals.
- Stay current on industry trends, carrier appetites, emerging risks (e.g., cyber, supply chain), and regulatory changes impacting middle market accounts.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 3–5+ years in commercial lines account management, with demonstrated success handling middle market or larger/complex accounts (preferred; small market experience considered with strong technical skills).
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with agency management systems such as Applied Epic, AMS360, or similar; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Licensing: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail, superior communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive mindset, client advocacy focus, and comfort with exposure analysis, renewal strategy, and cross-selling opportunities.
