Associate Attorney – Land Use | Tallahassee

A well-regarded firm in Tallahassee is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2+ years of land use experience to join its team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a mix of litigation and transactional matters involving real estate development, zoning, permitting, and local government issues.

What They’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in land use, zoning, or related real estate matters

  • Litigation and transactional background with ability to handle hearings, negotiations, and document drafting

  • Experience with local government regulations, permitting, and development approvals preferred

  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

  • Member of the Florida Bar in good standing

What You’ll Do

  • Represent clients in land use and zoning matters before local government boards and agencies

  • Handle litigation and appeals related to zoning, permitting, and development disputes

  • Draft and negotiate contracts, development agreements, and related real estate documents

  • Advise clients on compliance with land use regulations and development approvals

  • Work collaboratively with developers, municipalities, and other stakeholders to achieve client goals
