Project Manager – Sitework / Civil Construction
A growing civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee site development and horizontal construction projects for residential communities and municipal work. The ideal candidate is a strong Project Manager with experience in excavation, grading, and underground utilities who can manage projects from preconstruction through completion while maintaining schedules, budgets, and strong field coordination.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage all phases of sitework and civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout · Oversee excavation, grading, storm drainage, water, sewer, and underground utility scopes · Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and municipalities · Maintain project schedules, budgets, and overall financial performance · Review plans, specifications, contracts, and change orders · Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget · Identify and resolve project risks and field issues proactively · Communicate project updates with leadership, clients, and stakeholders
Qualifications
· 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in civil construction or site development · Strong background in excavation, grading, and wet/dry utilities · Experience managing residential development, land development, or municipal sitework projects · Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications · Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control · Stable work history with reputable contractors (no frequent job hopping) · Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Compensation and Benefits
