Job Description

Steel Estimator with fabrication and steel erection experience.

Responsibilities:

• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents for structural steel projects
• Perform material takeoffs and quantity estimates
• Build accurate cost estimates for fabrication and erection (labor, materials, equipment)
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
• Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals
• Work with project managers and operations on pricing, schedules, and scope
• Identify risks, gaps, and value engineering opportunities
• Track bids, maintain estimating data, and support project handoff

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of estimating experience in steel fabrication and/or erection
• Strong understanding of structural steel drawings and specifications
• Experience with takeoff and estimating software
• Knowledge of fabrication processes, field erection, and job costing
• Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
