Job Description

We are seeking an Estimator to join a growing commercial general contractor. This role is responsible for supporting the preconstruction process by developing accurate cost estimates, coordinating with subcontractors, and assisting in the preparation of competitive bids.

The Estimator will work closely with project managers and internal teams to ensure projects are set up for success through thorough planning and cost analysis. This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of commercial projects and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and related documents
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Assist in developing project budgets and bid proposals
• Identify scope gaps, overlaps, and potential risks
• Support the bid process from initial review through submission
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate project handoff

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of estimating experience in construction
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; estimating software experience preferred
