Estimator – Heavy Civil

A dynamic and growing heavy civil construction client of ours is pursuing a driven and strong Estimator. Candidate should have diverse heavy civil construction skills and a demonstrated track record both in the office and field. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy civil construction that includes heavy civil, underground construction, Pump Stations, Wastewater, Concrete, Earthwork, Site Development, Storm Sewer, Pipeline & DOT projects.

Responsibilities:

• Estimating self-performed projects which typically range from 1 million to 30 million dollars; including pricing labor, equipment, and material costs.
• Working knowledge of construction assemblies and all project phases.
• Ability to produce detailed, accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings.
• Ability to assess site exposures/construction risks and be able to appropriately analyze cost and reflect these in an estimate.
• Identify constructability issues through the estimating process.
• Identify and propose value-engineering alternatives.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred (Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar)
• 2 - 4 years heavy civil estimating or related field construction experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• HCSS/Agtek/Bluebeam Experience Preferred
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Salary based on qualifications & experience.
