🚨 Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney | Columbia, SC (Hybrid) 🚨

A well-respected law firm is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney to join its Columbia, SC office in a flexible hybrid role. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a hands-on litigation position where you’ll manage your own caseload, work closely with experienced partners, and gain meaningful courtroom and hearing experience in a fast-moving practice.

⚖️ What You’ll Do:
• Defend workers’ compensation claims across a wide range of industries
• Manage a full caseload with guidance from senior attorneys
• Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, medical providers, and experts
• Represent clients in mediations and hearings before the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission
• Draft motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other legal documents
• Analyze claims, review medical records, and develop litigation strategy
• Negotiate settlements and maintain ongoing client communications and reporting
• Work closely with adjusters, risk managers, and employer clients

🔍 What We’re Looking For:
• Active South Carolina bar license required
• 2+ years of Workers’ Compensation defense experience preferred
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills
• Deposition, hearing, and/or mediation experience strongly preferred
• Ability to manage deadlines and handle a busy caseload independently
• Professional, organized, and client-service focused mindset
