Steel Detailing Manager (Miscellaneous Metals)

We are seeking a Steel Detailing Manager to lead and oversee detailing operations for miscellaneous metals and aluminum projects, including railings, catwalks, handrails, stairs, and similar components.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong hands-on detailing background who can step into a leadership position managing people, processes, and project flow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee detailing for misc metals and aluminum projects from kickoff through completion
• Lead and support a team of detailers and checkers
• Review and approve shop drawings for accuracy, constructability, and code compliance
• Coordinate with project managers, fabricators, and field teams
• Ensure drawings meet project specifications, timelines, and industry standards
• Resolve design discrepancies and assist with RFIs as needed
• Track detailing progress and maintain schedules across multiple projects

Qualifications:

• Experience detailing miscellaneous metals (railings, stairs, handrails, catwalks, etc.) required
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor strongly preferred
• Experience managing or mentoring detailing teams
• Strong understanding of fabrication and installation processes
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
