Estimator / Cost Engineer (Construction – Light Industrial Preferred)
Location: Alpharetta

Position Overview

The Estimator / Cost Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, supporting preconstruction efforts, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful project execution from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and quantity takeoffs
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
• Develop conceptual and preliminary estimates for early-stage projects
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and leadership teams
• Maintain and update cost databases and historical data

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating or cost engineering
• Experience with light industrial projects strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing
• Proficiency in estimating software and Excel
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (not required)
