Who we are: A locally owned commercial contractor that has been in business for over 40 years. We provide a full range of diverse projects including industrial, commercial, and municipal sectors.

We are looking to add another qualified CAD Drafter to their team that shares their passion for the industry. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and has diverse aluminum composite panel experience. Responsibilities:

• Review Architectural drawings and specifications
• Coordinate details with architects and our other clients
• Ability to design fully executed Curtain Wall & Metal Panel shop drawings (Special focus on accuracy, emphasis on floor plans, elevations, wall sections, details, general notes, and impact of erection)
• Ability to support Fabrication Shop with necessary and appropriate workload
• Able to optimize efficient quantities of material as often as possible for best usage
• Draft/Detail Wall Panels/ Curtain wall Trims, Specialty Items such as aluminums screens, Sunshades, Expansion Joints when required
• Design fully executed Curtain Wall and Storefront fabrication drawings with correct cut lengths, sizes, parts & pieces.
• Design fully executed Metal Panel/ACM fabrication drawings (Special focus on accuracy of dimension, extrusions, special notes, and field conditions to be aware of)
• Ability to understand and interpret field dimensions and revise shop drawings based on field dimensions to produce fabrication drawings. Able to visit job sites to assist in and obtain field dimensions.
• Maintain deadlines for submittals and revisions to shop drawings

Skills and Requirements:

• 3+ years of Composite Panel, Facade, or curtain wall drafting experience
• AutoCAD experience, Revit experience is a plus, in addition to any 3D modeling capabilities
• Construction background
• Strong communication and math skills
• Must be detail oriented, accurate and organized
• Aluminum Composite Material (ACM panel) experience in build designing
• Experience in producing shop drawings and fabrication drawings for Curtain Wall & Metal Panel systems
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office application in a high level
