Professional Land Surveyor in Lexington

Job Description

My client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join their team. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of land surveying projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance with state and federal regulations, and client satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute land surveying projects, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys.
• Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare accurate survey reports, plats, and legal descriptions.
• Supervise and coordinate field crews, ensuring quality control and timely project completion.
• Review and approve survey calculations, plans, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to meet project goals.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, standards, and regulations.
• Maintain and operate survey equipment, including GPS, total stations, and data collectors.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Kentucky and/or Indiana.
• 3-5+ years of experience in land surveying or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other survey software.
• Strong understanding of land surveying principles, methods, and technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
