Job Description

🐾 Practice Veterinary Medicine the Way You Always Wanted To 🐾

Mobile DVM | Flexible Schedule | Patient-First Care

Upper & Midstate South Carolina

If you became a veterinarian to help animals — not hit production quotas, push unnecessary services, or worry about corporate metrics — this opportunity was built for you.

We’re partnering with a mission-driven mobile veterinary organization focused on one thing above all else: delivering high-quality, accessible care to pets who otherwise might not receive it.

No long-term contracts.
No non-competes.
No production pressure.
No upselling.
No corporate politics.

Just good medicine, meaningful work, and the flexibility to practice on your terms.

What Makes This Role Different

This is not corporate veterinary medicine.

You’ll be paid hourly — not on production — so your focus stays where it belongs: the patient in front of you. The organization prioritizes quality care first, service to the community second, and profit last.

You’ll have the freedom to help shape your own schedule and route based on your lifestyle and goals.

Whether you’re looking for:

  • One weekend day per week
  • A gradual transition out of full-time practice
  • A meaningful “second chapter” after corporate medicine
  • Or a consistent 4-day workweek with flexibility built in

…this role can be tailored around you.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Flexible scheduling: anywhere from 1 day/week to 4 days/week
  • Available days: Thursday through Sunday
  • Shift lengths tailored to your preferences
  • Compensation: $100/hour
  • No production-based compensation models

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

This is focused, low-stress medicine centered around:

  • Preventative care
  • Vaccinations
  • Wellness services
  • Community outreach

No emergency medicine.
No overnight calls.
No major surgeries.
No pressure to “sell.”

You’ll work alongside an experienced support team of skilled veterinary technicians who handle much of the hands-on workflow, allowing you to focus on patient care, client communication, and medical oversight.

Most days involve traveling to 2–4 pre-scheduled community locations in a fully equipped mobile unit.

Last year alone, this organization helped provide care to more than 40,000 animals who otherwise may not have been seen.

Ideal for Veterinarians Who:

  • Are burned out from corporate medicine
  • Want freedom from restrictive contracts and non-competes
  • Miss practicing relationship-based medicine
  • Value autonomy and flexibility
  • Want predictable hours and lower stress
  • Enjoy educating clients and mentoring support staff
  • Still love veterinary medicine — but want to practice it differently

Benefits Include

  • CE allowance
  • License renewals & membership fees covered
  • Liability insurance coverage
  • Generous time off
  • Flexible scheduling built around your needs

If you’re ready to reconnect with why you became a veterinarian in the first place, I’d love to have a confidential conversation.
