Position Overview:
The firm is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in insurance coverage law, with experience analyzing policies, advising clients, and litigating coverage disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze insurance policies and evaluate complex coverage issues.
Advise clients on insurance coverage and claims strategy.
Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in coverage litigation.
Conduct in-depth legal research and monitor changes in insurance law.
Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on high-stakes matters.
Negotiate settlements and communicate with insurers and adjusters.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Licensed and in good standing with the New Jersey Bar.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance coverage law.
Strong legal writing, analytical, and research skills.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Ability to handle multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience handling complex or high-value coverage disputes.
Background representing insurance carriers or policyholders.
Familiarity with state and federal insurance laws and regulations.
